Having been in landlocked Stuttgart for 3 weeks and seeing kites in the estuary yesterday from the train while returning from the airport I just had to go down this morning - knowing it wouldn't be great. Wind was gusty as expected, but had an hour or so out on 12m XBow - glad of the huge depower on that kite... even so there were a few vicious gusts that had me hanging on and a few times when I could barely keep the kite in the air. Out on the water for a good hour at least and hopefully soon some westerlies and waves....
